Job description:
The Hotel Sales Coordinator is a pivotal role working alongside the Regional Sales Manager and Hotel Teams to drive occupancy and maximize revenue. This position focuses on inside sales, contract management, and proactive business development. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of Local Negotiated Rates (LNR) and Group contracts, utilizing IHG’s proprietary systems to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Management

  • Contract Lifecycle: Create and manage LNR and Group contracts, ensuring all client needs—including room types, meeting spaces, and date patterns—are met.
  • System Integration: Execute data entry and reservation management within the property management system.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate room rates and meeting space requirements based on volume and seasonal demand.
  • Lead Generation: Conduct proactive inside sales calls to identify new business opportunities and assist with sales blitzes and promotional events when required.
Guest & Client Relations
  • Customer Retention: Implement post-stay follow-up strategies to convert first-time guests into repeat corporate clients through referral credits and future discounts.
  • Service Excellence: Conduct post-event reviews with business clients to ensure total satisfaction and maintain year-round engagement through periodic communication.
Technical Qualifications
  • IHG Platform Expertise (Required): Must have proficiency in IHG Merlin for corporate resources and IHG Concerto for integrated guest reservation and revenue management.
  • PMS Experience: Experience with HotelKey is highly preferred; however, we are willing to train candidates who demonstrate a strong technical aptitude and prior experience with other hotel Property Management Systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months of related hospitality sales experience (or equivalent combination).
  • License: Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Skills: Strong ability to calculate discounts and commissions; excellent written and verbal communication for professional reports and client presentations.
  • Relocation: Must be able to relocate Belgrade, MT before starting work.

Work Location: In person onsite
